Abstract: Flexible decorative veneers were made by low temperature plasma treatment to improve the interface between teak veneers and low density polyethylene(LDPE) films. The veneers and films were then joined by hot-pressing.Results showed that peel strength and transverse tensile strength were most significantly impacted by hot pressing temperature followed by plasma processing speed.Optimal technology for making the veneers was 0.8 MPa of hot-pressing pressure,135℃of temperature,150 s of pressure time... More
