Abstract: The Sonchus genus is genera of family Compositae tribe Lactuceae subtribe Lactucinae and perennial herbs. More than 50 species were found widely in Europe, Africa and Asia. There are 8 species distributed in China, mainly the Xinjiang province and southwestern mountainous region of China.
