Abstract: Core-shell polymer particles have been synthesized from methyl methacrylate(MMA) and butyl acrylate(BA).The mechanical properties of poly(butylene terephthalate)(PBT) were studied after addition of the core-shell particles and maleic anhydride-grafted polyethylene-octane(POE) copolymer as impact modifiers. The results showed that the PBT had the maximum toughness when the monomer ratio of MMA:BA in the core-shell polymer was 2∶3.The particle size of the core-shell particles decreased as the amoun... More
