Actuality Investigation on Border Fortress Mural and Its Art Value

Abstract: 明长城作为现存的大型文化遗产体系,同时也是历史上大型的军事防御性聚落体系,是具有层级性和纵深性的建筑系统,涵盖了历史发展、政治制度、兵制和军事管理制度、建筑空间与聚落、边境贸易与经济、文化交流、民族交融、人口变迁、生态保护等多方面内容,涉及历史、政治、军事、建筑、文化、艺术、社会、科技、经济、人文、生态等诸多学科,具有多元化的遗产价值。长城修筑后,依靠沿线军堡内驻扎的大量兵力使长城的防御功能得以实现,其中边堡里的庙宇壁画使原本冰冷的军事防御工事,增添了极高的文化气息和人文关怀。然而由于近年来缺少相应的保护措施,使得部分壁画类文物遭到了不同程度的破坏和损毁,保护边堡庙宇中的壁画是迫在眉睫的事情。
