Abstract: Objective To explore the effect of Feilike Mixture(肺力咳合剂) combined with azithromycin in the treatment of severe mycoplasma pneumonia in children. Methods A total of 102 children with severe mycoplasma pneumonia who were hospitalized in the Pediatrics Department of Hebei Children’s Hospital from January 2018 to November 2019 were selected. According to the method of random numbers, all children were divided into control group and observation group, 51 cases in each group. The children in the control group were treated with azithromycin. The children in the observation group were given Feilike Mixture based on the treatment in the control group. The duration of various symptoms(elevated body temperature, asthma, cough, lung snoring), serum inflammatory factor levels[C-reactive protein(CRP), interleukin-10(IL-10), tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)] before and after treatment in the two groups, adverse reactions during the treatment and effect were compared. Results The duration of "temperature rise", "asthma", "cough" and "lung sounds" in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group(t=2.454,2.422,2.594,2.491, P<0.05). There was no significant difference in CRP, IL-10 or TNF-α before treatment between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, CRP and TNF-α were in both groups decreased, and IL-10 was increased. The CRP and TNF-α of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the IL-10 was higher than that of the control group. There was no statistically significant difference in the proportion of people who had adverse reactions during the treatment between the two groups(χ~2=0.172, P>0.05). The treatment effect of the observation group was better than that of the control group(z=1.864, P<0.05). After treatment, the typical B-ultrasound performance of various lung diseases showed significant improvement. Conclusion In the treatment of patients with severe mycoplasma pneumonia, the combination of azithromycin and Feilike Mixture can improve the treatment effect and symptoms, and has good safety.
