AN APPROACH TO THE WATER SUPPLY OF THE CHENSI ISLANDS——FROM THE DISTRIBUTION OF THE UNDERGROUND PALEO-RIVER AQUIFER OF FRESH-WATER IN SHANGHAI AREAChinese Full Text

Lu Zijian (Shanghai Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources)

Abstract: It is possible that the two main paleo-rivers of fresh-water of the early Pleistocene epoch in Shanghai flow into the mouth of the Chang-jiang River and the sea area of the Hangzhou Bay. Hence there is the possibility to supply water in water-lack islands such as Chensi Islands, i.e. to develop the paleo-river apuifer of fresh-water beneath the sea floor, so that the problem of water supply of the offshore islands could be solved.
