Abstract: Advances in the researches of converting farmland to forest on the Loess Plateau were reviewed from the views of eco-efficiency,socio-economic benefits and the overall efficiency.Problems existed in the benefit evaluation were pointed out.Perspectives in the research trends of the project were put forward to provide references.
