Abstract: Zelkova serrata（ Thunb.） Makino is an important tree species with commercial and ornamental values. By cutting test,the effects of exogenous hormone,collection date of cutting and endogenous nutrition reserve on formation of adventitious root were investigated. The results showed that the rooting effect of shoots pretreated with 1 000 mg·L-1 IBA was the best.
