Abstract: The effect of 3 different understory management models as understory vegetation retention(UP), interplanting Phoebe bournei(IP) and understory vegetation removal(UR) on growth and structure of Cunninghamia lanceolate plantation was studied. The results showed that the average tree height, individual volume and stand volume in Cunninghamia lanceolate plantation under 3 different understory management models were ranked as IP>UP>UR.
