Abstract: Based on the concept of comparison and analysis of co nstituent abunda nce, formula to calculate similarity / diversity percentage of constituent abund ance and two different standards of similarity / diversity grade have been const ructed. Analysis on compatibility of distribution patterns of Cephalotaxus in Yu nnan shows that the comparison and analysis of constituent abundance has the adv antages of compact analysis, simple calculation and obvious results.
